KOLAS
Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (KOLAS) is the governmental administrative office established by the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) accrediting calibration/testing laboratories and inspection bodies based on ‘National Standards Act‘
Accreditation for calibration laboratories: Evaluation and recognition of the quality management system and calibration/ technical competence of applicant organization by qualified assessor based on the ISO/IEC 17025.
Accreditation for testing laboratories: Recognition and evaluation of the quality management system and testing/ technical competence of applicant organization by qualified assessor based on ISO/IEC 17025.
Accreditation for inspection bodies: Evaluation and recognition of the quality management system and inspection/ technical competence of applicant organization by qualified assessor to enhance credibility of organization based on the ISO/IEC 17020.
KOLAS has been actively participating in the international meetings by Asia-Pacific Laboratory Cooperation (APLAC) and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), or the Intercomparisons regarding proficiency testing organized by APLAC or international society.
